About the Author

Alphonso Dunn is an accomplished artist with a strong background in the sciences. Born in Jamaica, he moved to the United States at age 17. Inspired by childhood ambitions for a career in medicine, he completed his undergraduate study in Applied Chemistry at William Paterson University; however, his life-long passion for drawing led him to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art. Since completing his graduate study, he has taught college-level art courses and high-school science classes. He is the recipient of numerous awards, and his work can be found in private collections nationwide. He currently resides in New Jersey. Pen & Ink Drawing: A Simple Guide is his first of an intended series of art instruction books on pen and ink drawing. He continually develops content for his popular YouTube channel where he creates how-to-draw videos for his over 180,000 subscribers.
