Goebbels，Paul Joseph

纳粹德国的宣传部长，主要战犯之一。1897年10月29日生于莱茵区。1917年起在波恩大学进修哲学、艺术史和文学，1921年获海德堡大学博士学位。1924年参加纳粹党。1926年后投靠A.希特勒，主持柏林党务。1928年任国会议员。1929年任纳粹党宣传部长。在1930～1933年的国会选举中，力促希特勒参加竞选，并帮助准备竞选演说，在大众中神化希特勒。希特勒掌权后，戈培尔参与策划国会纵火案，镇压共产党和进步势力。1933年3月，任国民教育和宣传部长，此后12年内操纵德国全部宣传机器，疯狂鼓吹战争，宣扬种族主义，编造谎言，吹捧希特勒，实行法西斯文化专制主义。

戈培尔是狂热的反犹排犹主义者，1935年在柏林发动反犹暴行，策划1938年11月9日“砸玻璃窗之夜”（又称“水晶之夜”）事件以迫害犹太人。1944年力主实行总体战，被希特勒任命为总体战动员委员会主任，有指挥整个战争的全权，但局势已无法挽回。1945年4月30日希特勒自杀，次日，戈培尔毒死自己的6个孩子，然后与妻子自杀。1977年，《戈培尔日记》在汉堡出版。
