韩笑，从中学时代起，痴恋推理文学，广泛涉猎相关书籍，曾任（推理）杂志见习编辑一职，也曾以saki为笔名，发表过推理小说数篇。因立志翻译国外经典推理作品，而考入北京工商大学英语系，2007年通过英语专业八级考试，成绩良好，现从事对外汉语教学工作，并利用业余时间翻译欧美推理小说。
