杜赞奇：早年就学于印度和美国，现任美国芝加哥大学历史学系及东亚语言文明系教授。其《文化、权力与国家：1900-1942年的华北农村》，曾先后荣获1989年度的美国历史学会费正清奖以及1990年度的亚洲研究学会列文森奖。其第二本专著《从国族中拯救历史：质疑现代中国叙事》，中文译本也已于2003年面世。其最新著作《主权与真实性：满州国与东亚现代进程》，也已于近日出版。
